Run away!

J'adore Peanuts (Charlie Brown et cie.). Genre, vraiment beaucoup. Je collectionne les Peanuts depuis que Fantagraphics Books a décidé de republier l'oeuvre complète de Charles Schulz. Aujourd'hui, j'ai obtenu le volume 1963-1964 (le premier Peanuts a été publié en 1950 et le dernier, en 2000).

J'y ai trouvé quelques perles que voici...

[Linus parle avec Charlie Brown.]
Linus: I don't like to face problems head on.
Linus: I think the best way to solve problems is to avoid them.
Linus: This is a distinct philosophy of mine.
Linus: No problem is so big or so complicated that it can't be run away from!

Ou encore, la suite de ce monologue de Linus:

Charlie Brown: What if everyone was like you?
Charlie Brown: What if we all ran away from our problems? Huh? What then?
Charlie Brown: What if everyone in the whole world suddenly decided to run away from his problems?
Linus: Well, at least we'd all be running in the same direction!

Lucy apprend à sauter à la corde à Sally:

Lucy: Put the rope behind you... That's the way...
Lucy: Now, twirl it over your head, and when it comes down in front of you, jump over it... Then keep on twirling and jumping...
Sally: ... [elle regarde la corde d'un air incrédule]
Sally: You're kidding!
